Aiming to strengthen research, promote high-level studies and reinforce the creation of networks and groups and research, the PPGCS-UFU Postdoctoral program aims to insert and integrate Brazilian and foreign researchers with projects developed in its Research Lines . The general purpose is to improve the University's level of scientific excellence, contribute to the training of human resources, as well as disseminate the PPGCS-UFU research lines and groups at a national and international level.

The Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences adopts Resolution 18/2015 of the Research and Postgraduate Council (Conpep) as the only standard for requesting a Postdoctoral Internship.

Procedures for referral to the Postdoctoral Program:

1) The request for inclusion in the PPD-UFU must be forwarded by a responsible professor, called post-doctoral internship supervisor, with a doctorate degree, for approval by the PPG Board;

2) The post-doctoral internship proposal must be sent to PPGCS with the following documents:

I - research project with description of the activity plan, in accordance with the Program rules;

II - description of the period of completion;

III - description of material needs, use of physical spaces, laboratories or other inputs or materials to be compensated by UFU;

IV - declaration of agreement from the Director of the Academic Unit where the internship will be carried out regarding the needs described in section III;

V - application for inclusion in the PPD-UFU;

VI - updated copy of the Lattes Curriculum; 

VII - copy of the doctoral diploma or certificate of completion of the doctoral course;

VIII - Term of Commitment (Annex I) and Declaration of Intellectual Property Recognition (Annex II);  

IX - statement from the educational, research institution or company where you work, when there is such a link, agreeing with the terms of leave or need to dedicate yourself to the activities of the post-doctoral internship; and

X - other necessary documents, according to the characteristics and needs of each proposal.
